Happy Thanksgiving Monday!  I hope you have enjoyed some time with your family and friends for a big turkey feast this Thanksgiving weekend.  :)

My next Christmas Card Stamp Camp is on Sunday, November 17, 2013.  Below are 2 of the 3 cards we will be making.  I hope you are able to join me for some Christmas card stamping fun.  At this Stamp Camp we are going to make 8 Christmas cards (4 each of 2 different designs shown below) as well as 4 Occasion cards for a total of 12 cards.  For the month of November the Occasion card will be a card of your choice.  I know a couple of people celebrating birthdays in November so I thought it might be fitting to also make birthday cards along with the Christmas cards.  If you have another occasion that you would like to make a card for, please feel free to do so.  I will have the card layout and all of the supplies ready for you to make but you can choose what occasion you want it to be.  :)  I will try and post the 3rd card designer (Occasion Card) over the next couple of days.

Christmas Card Stamp Camp - September 22, 2013

I know it is weird to read the title of this post and think Christmas cards already.  If you are like me and want to send almost everyone a hand stamped Christmas card then you need to start this process early.  Well...why not start in September!  :)

Each year I host 4 Christmas card stamp camps and the first one starts in September.  Below are 2 of the 3 cards we will be making.  I hope you are able to join me for some Christmas card stamping fun.  This year we are going to make 8 Christmas cards (4 each of 2 different designs) as well as 4 Occasion cards for a total of 12 cards.  For the month of September the Occasion card is Halloween.  We may have to revisit this theme for October as well as Halloween is one of my fav occasions!  The Halloween stamp sets that Stampin' Up! has are so cute.  Both cards below use the Embossing technique.

My last Christmas Card Stamp Camp - December 9, 2012

Hello!  Hope all is well with my blog followers.  It has been a busy past month.  The Day Care Stamp Event was a hit.  Thank you for everyone that attended.  I am looking forward to organization another one in the spring.

Children's Stamp Camp Fundraiser - November 25, 2012

Here are the details for the Children's Christmas card stamp camp Fundraiser for the St. Albert Day Care. Remember all proceeds made will be going to the St. Albert Day Care Society. I sure hope you will join me for some Christmas card stamping fun!


At the Children's Stamp Camp Fundraiser there will be 8 Christmas cards (2 each of 4 different designs) with matching envelopes. There will be a draw for a “stamping surprise”. Please RSVP by November 19, 2012. Payment will be due at the time of registeration so that your spot will be held. Methods of payment are cheque (made out to the St. Albert Day Care), cash and email money transfer to michellestamps@shaw.ca. There are only 11 spots available, so register early to avoid disappointment

Gingerbread Season's Greeting card - October 21 Stamp Camp

Here is the second card that will be featured at my October 21 Christmas card Stamp Camp.  I am loving the Scentsational Seasons stamp set, found on page 16 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  You may notice that the gingerbread men are a bit glossy that is because they have been embossed with the Sugar and Spice scented Embossing Powder (also found on page 16).  The smell is amazing!  It makes me want to bake some gingerbread.  hehehe

October 21 Christmas Stamp Camp

My October Christmas card stamp camp has been moved!  It is now scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  We had a recent family vacation to Mexico and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things.  There is still room if you would like to come and stamp to get a head start on your Christmas cards.  Above is one of the card designs we will be making.  The Christmas tree stamp is from the Scentsational Seasons stamp set found on page 16 of the Holiday Mini.  The Christmas tree is also cut out using the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies.  Too cute!

At each class, you will make 12 Christmas cards (4 each of 3 different designs) with matching envelopes. So, by December’s Christmas card stamp camp you will have made 48 Christmas cards! At each stamp camp there will be a draw for a “stamping surprise”. Attend all 4 Christmas card stamp camps and your name will be put into a draw on the last class for a great prize. The Christmas cards that we will be making at each stamp camp will be uploaded on my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator website (the link is located in the left sidebar) as well as posted on this Stamping Blog ahead of time so that you will be able to see what we will be making.

Gold Ornaments

Now that my stamp camps are finished for the year I really need to get a move on finishing up my Christmas cards.  The inspiration for this card came from Mary Fish's blog.  I was recently on Mary's blog and saw an a card that she had made using the Pendant Park stamp set gold embossed on circles which were ornaments. Mary's card was simply stunning. I guess you could say this is my version of her card. Thanks Mary for your inspiration!  I usually don't stray very far from Stampin' Up! products but for this card I did.  One of my Mom's friends gave her a bunch of ribbon to pass along to me....Thanks Diane!  I immediately thought I am going to make a card for her using this gold weave ribbon.  Here is the card I made for her.  I had to make a bunch of these as they were easy to make.

Season's Greetings Holly card

A Candy Cane for the Holidays!

It seems like forever since I have posted a card.  Sorry about that....life has been a bit busy!  Last week I received an order and in that order was some new Stampin' Up! products from the Holiday Mini.  Amongst those new products was Stampin' Up!'s new Stocking Accents Original Die.  You can find this die on page 24 of the Holiday Mini.  The cards at my next November 13 Christmas Card Stamp Camp are all made using this die.  We will be making 12 cards (4 each of 3 different designs) using this die as well as different products from the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  Here is the 1st card design for my November 13 Christmas card stamp camp.  I hope you will join me for some Christmas card stamping fun!

Holly Jolly Christmas

Ohhh it is begining to look a lot like Christmas - yeah!  Christmas is not that far away my friends.  Are you ready?  I am not at all.  I feel like I have so much to do still.  One of those many things to do is my Christmas cards.  I am not even going to count them this year I am just going to do them.  hahaha perhaps that will releave some of the stress not knowing exactly how many I need to make and send out.  Here is a card I made today featuring the Northern Hearts stamp set.  You will find this stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalogue as a hostess level 1 stamp set.  Isn't it cute!  I am not sure if you can pick it out from the picture but the wreath has a little shimmer to it.  I put a couple of drops of Certainly Celery classic re-inker in the top of a brad container and add some drops of Champagne Shimmer Paint on top.  I mixed it around with the end of a paint brush and then took a sponge dauber to apply the shimmer paint re-inker mixture to the stamp set and then stamped the wreath image on Whisper White card stock.  Voila a shimmery Christmas wreath.  I added the red berries with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker after the wreath had dried.  One thing I love about Christmas cards is adding sparkles to the cards.  I usually always have some sort of sparkle on them.  The cards are almost always embossed too.  hehehe  It is funny how I associate different things for different occasions.

Merry Bright Holly Card

Here is the second card design that will be featured at my December 19 Christmas card stamp camp.  Isn't it pretty!?!  This card is also CASED.  This card was featured on a downline DVD I recently received.  When I saw that card and how easy it was to make and how elegant it looks I knew this would be my second card design.  A big thank you to the Stampin' Up! demonstrator that demonstrated this card on the DVD.  This card also comes in an advanced version.  Everyone that registers for my last Christmas card stamp camp on December 19 will have a chance to make 3 of these cards as well as 2 of the advanced style.

Season's Greetings Tags Till Christmas card - December 19 Christmas card stamp camp

I can't believe Christmas is only 22 days away.  YIKES! Are you ready?  In between now and then I still need to have my December Christmas card stamp camp.  Here is one of the 2 designs that we will be creating.  I was kind of unsure about this layout as it is a bit fussy but I am confident that my stamping friends can handle it.  This card is actually CASED (which means copied exactly) from Stampin' Up!'s Stampin' Success magazine.  When I saw it on the front cover I thought that would be a great card to have at my last Christmas card stamp camp.  I did make some changes to it though - the top scallop border Pear Pizzazz card stock piece and the Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon were my personal touches.

Stamping in a winter wonderland......

Winter is here!  Now I don't mind making snowy and Christmas themed cards.  It was kind of hard getting into the wintery mood when the grass was still green and the weather so nice.  I have been busy stamping and creating...note cards.  I have a little card business on the side (Inkspired Greetings!) so I have been busy filling orders for that.  I sell most of my creations to real estate agents, family and friends.  Here is a winter themed note card I made for a lady that has a basket company.   I stamped the words Happy Holidays on the inside with Encore Silver Ink.  I found it was hard to get a good picture of the card as the camera flash was too bright for the glitter on the snowflake.

Season's Greetings Tree "Thumping" Card - November 21 Christmas card stamp camp

Oh let me tell you this card was not easy to come up with.  I struggled for a couple of days before I finally got something that I liked.  I saw a very pretty card using this stamp set - Lovely as a Tree - with the "thumping" technique.  I will have to go and find the card again so that you can see it.  The lady's card was orange with a leaf stamp set.  After seeing her card I knew that I wanted to use this stamp set and do that technique at my next Christmas card stamp camp.  Here is the second card that we will be making at my November 21 Christmas card stamp camp.  Instead of using Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for the snow on the ground, I grabbed my Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint.  I like the effect it gave.  It is hard to take a picture of it as my flash makes it all bright where the snow is.  I hope you can join me for a couple of hours of stamping fun on November 21 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Merry Crittermas card - November 21 Christmas card stamp camp

hehehe I love this stamp set....Merry Crittermass is it's name. Too cute. There is a variety of critter stamp sets in it. This stamp set just may change my stamping ways. Those of you who know me well, know that I am not a detailed stamp person. I am more of a base stamp person...meaning I like to take a base stamp, apply ink to it, stamp it on card stock and go. I don't like to fuss with coloring and the details in a detailed stamp but this card may have awakened my coloring senses. I didn't mind coloring in the bunny's ears, scarf, clothes, feet and sled.  I just finished this card and can't wait to pick up that stamp set and do another card.  I hope I have some more time to play with this stamp set tonight.

Jolly Jingle Rainbow Embossing Card - October 24 Christmas Stamp Camp Card #2

This card was a lot of fun to make.  A lady by the name of Christy Harsch, who is top Stampin'Up! Demonstrator of the Stampin' Up! Group that I am in made a sample card for a workshop DVD that Stampin' Up! sells and she used the Rainbow Technique on her card.  This technique is amazing.  Super easy and the results are awesome.  When I saw her card I knew that I wanted to share this technique with you on a Christmas card.  The colors of embossing powder that I used on this card are Gold and Silver.  I also did a couple of other cards using Craft ink with Irridescent Ice & Silver embossing powder as well as Classic Ink using the same embossing powder.  Very cool.  I am very excited to demonstrate this technique and card at my October 24 Christmas card stamp camp.  It isn't too late to join, there are still some spots available.  I hope you can join me for an afternoon of stamping fun.  Please visit my events calendar either on the right side of my blog or on my demonstartor website.  You will find a link on the right side of my blog.

Happy Holidays - Multicolored Snowflakes

Here is the second card design that will be featured at my September 19 Christmas card stamp camp.  This card was really fun to make.  I usually don't demonstrate techniques at my Christmas card stamp camps but I thought why not spice it up.  The technique on this card is "Multicolored Stamp Pad".  It is very fun to do.  If you look closely at the snowflakes you will see they have a bunch of different colors in them.  To find more details about my September 19 Christmas card stamp camp please go to my calendar events on the right hand side of my blog or to my Stampin' Up! Christmas in August...ack!

Well if you are like me and need to send out 70 plus Christmas cards starting them in August isn't all that crazy.  I couldn't resist posting the cards for my upcoming September 19 Christmas card stamp camp.  Every fall/winter I host a series of 4 Christmas card classes.  At each class you will leave with 10 Christmas cards (5 of 2 designs) with matching envelopes.  By the time December's Christmas card stamp camp is over you will have made 40 Christmas cards.  That is if you attend each Christams card class.  Here is one of the 2 designs that will be featured on September 19.  If you look at Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini catalogue on page 32 you will see a similar Christmas Wreath on a project they made.  When I saw that Christmas Wreath made out of Stampin' Up!'s Candy Cane Designer Series Paper I knew I had to make a card version.  Isn't it cute.  Join me on September 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and re-create this Christmas card.  You can find more details for this stamp camp on my demonstrator website under my calendar events or simply click my calendar events on my stamping blog.

Pattern Pines Old Olive Trio

This is another stamp set that when I saw it I knew I had to get it.  This stamp set is featured in the Hostess Benefits in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  Isn't it cute!  You can do some much with these trees. I don't think you can see it but the trees are stamped in Craft Ink and embossed with Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
