Autumn Leaves Thank you Cards

One of my fav seasons is Fall!  I love the beautiful colors that Fall brings.  When I saw the Wonderfall stamp set and Autumn Accents Bigz Die (on page 33 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue) I knew that I had to get these stamping products.  Here are a couple of thank you cards I made to put into my Club Members' order bags.  I hope they like them.

There is a big stamping trend out right now and it is called "Step It Up".  The above card is a simple design and the below card is similar but has some extras added to it to give the card a different look.  This stamping trend (Step It Up) is so fun and easy.  All you have to do is take a basic card design like the card above, add some pieces, try a technique and add elements.  On the below card I added an extra layer of card stock (pieces), the top of the acron is embossed with Early Espresso Embossing Powder (technique) and I did some paper piercing around the edges (elements).  All you have to do is add three simple things to your card layout and voila you have a different card.  Give it a try!  Make sure to post what changes you did to your card as I would love to hear about it.

Embellished Boquets

I am very thankful these days for all of the support I have from my family and friends.  The way I let them know that I appreciate them is by making and sending them hand made cards.  Here are two cards that I made recently using the Embellished Events (found on page 40 in Stampin' Up!'s 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalogue).  Both cards are made with Stampin' Up!'s new 2012-2014 In-Colors (Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green).  The top card uses the new In Color Dahlias (found on page 152) to embellish the boquet of flowers, where as the bottom card uses the Brights Designer Buttons and Pearls Basic Jewels for the flower embellishments.  Which one do you like the most?

Stampin Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Embellished Events
Paper: Primrose Petals card stock, Whisper White card stock, Summer Starfruit card stock, Raspberry Ripple card stock (top card)

In-Colors Betsy's Blossoms Card

The new 2012-2014 In-Colors are quickly becoming my favs.  The Gumball Green color is very similar to Wild Wasabi it is just a couple of shades lighter and the Summer Starfruit is a bit darker than Daffodil Delight.  I also like the deep color of Raspberry Ripple and the bright rich color of Primrose Petals.  If you don't have these new in-colors already you should definetly add them to your wishlist.    You will see the words on both cards have little frames around them and were cut out into a banner type shape.  The stamp set for the words is called Itty Bitty Banners and it has a matching Big Shot product...........Bitty Banners Framelits.  I have never used Framelits before and can also tell you that these products (stamp set and framelits) will soon be a fav of mine.  With all of these new catalogue products I think I may just have to have a STAMP CAMP.  Check back soon for details......

Vintage Vogue Stamp Set is Retiring!

Pink Pirouette Thanks Card

As I am looking through Stampin' Up!'s Going, Going....Gone! list I find myself a little bit sad noticing the stamp sets on this list that I own and have stamped with, some for many years.  The Vintage Vogue stamp set is one of those sets.  You will find this stamp set on page 147 in the 2012 Idea Book & Catalogue (117960 wood, $29.95; 118598 clear, $21.95).  I think this was my first clear mount stamp set that I got.  I have had so much fun with the Vintage Vogue stamp set over the years creating cards, scrapbook pages and gift tags.  Here are a couple of recent cards that I have made.  Check out the words on both of the cards, they are stamped on a frame and raised with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I think this is the first time I have used the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  It is a nice way to showcase words on cards.

Calypso Coral Flower Just for You card
Don't get me wrong the saddness that I feel looking at these stamp sets on the Going, Going...Gone! list is quickly replaced with excitement at the thought that we will soon have a new Idea Book & Catalogue with fresh, new products to play with! This new Idea Book & Catalogue comes out June 1, 2012. If you are not a member of my Stampin' Technique & Scrapbook Club, please email me to reserve a FREE copy Idea Book & Catalogue. Two Owls thank you card

Ohh it takes a bit to get back into the groove of things after going away on holidays.  I came home to a nice big box of ribbon.  hehehe the ribbon I had ordered for my ribbon assortment.  Now that that is all cut and in envelopes for my stamping friends I was able to sit down and make a couple of cards.  This card was made for a friend of mine who I visited in B.C. at the end of June.  My Dad and I went on a trip just the two of us to visit family and friends in B.C.  I haven't seen these friends in a long time.  It was nice to have lunch at their house and see their children.  She told me that she liked owls so here is an owl card that I made for her using the Two Step XL Owl Punch!  This is a wonderful punch as you have everything right there to make your owl.  You may be seeing more cards using this punch in the near future.

Calypso Coral Button Buddies Card

Have you had a chance to look through Stampin' Up!'s new Idea Book & Catalogue.....if so I am sure you have seen the Button Buddies stamp set on page 71 - isn't this the cutest set.  It has a neat arrangements of stamps and the pig one is adorable.  Here is the flower image taken from that set and embossed in clear embossing powder on Whisper White card stock and then sponged with Calypso Coral Classic Ink on the petals of the flower and Early Espresso Classic Ink in the centre.  I needed a quick "thanks" card and this was it.  The Tiny Tags stamp set is quickly becoming a "word" fav for me.  I think the stamped words punched out with the Jewellery Tag punch adds the cutest finishing touch.

Thanks SAB Card

While looking through my blank card stash the other day I realized I don't have much of a selection.  In other words I need to make some cards ASAP.  Here is a card that I made tonight using the In-colors Stampin' Write markers and card stock and the SAB So Happy For You stamp set.  This set has quickly become a SAB favourite.  Like I said before I really like the variety you get from this stamp set.  My plan this weekend is to make a bunch of cards so that I have some on hand when I need them.  This card is easy and fun to make so I will be sure to make some more of them.  My So Happy For You stamp set is in clear-mount form so I placed the stamps randomly on the clear-mount block then I colored them with the In-Colors Stampin' Write Marker and then stamped them on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock....so easy.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: So Happy For You (Sale-A-Bration)
Paper: Peach Parfait card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock, Very Vanilla card stock
Ink: Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker, Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker, Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Marker, Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Scallop Border punch, Red Circle Rhinestone Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crop-A-Dile

Gratitude Leaves Card

I can't believe all of the thoughts that are swirling around in my head when I created this card.  I needed a fairly simple & quick card so that I could make 9 of them in a small time frame.  This is the card that I came up with.  I will be giving each of my club members one of these cards as their thank-you for joining my club card.  Before I sat down to make this card, I visited the talented Mary Fish's blog for some ideas.  Well, while I was there I got a couple.  Thanks Mary for the inspiration!  The idea of the Top Note Die made into a square came from Mary Fish's blog.  Her amazing card is here.  In fact, she had 2 amazing cards that I found on her blog sporting the square Top Note that I liked, the one I linked was quicker to find.  hehehe  I also got the leaf idea from her blog too.  Here is her leaf card.  I hope my club members like their cards.  I had so much fun teaching them the different stamping techniques and scrapbook layouts.  I hope they join my clubs next year.  Please visit the stamping technique & classes I offer heading to see which stamping events I am offering for 2011.  I would also love it if you joined as well.

If you want to recreate this card, the size of the Peach Parfait & Pear Pizzazz card stock are 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" and the Very Vanilla squares that have the leaves stamped on them are 1-1/2" x 1-1/2".

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Days of Gratitude (my fav stamp set)
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock, Soft Suede card stock, Peach Parfait card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock, Poppy Parade card stock

Crumb Mist Petal Card

hahaha I am laughing at the name of this card.  Oh Boy I may have to hire someone to name my cards.  This is another idea I had...to use the En Francais background stamp with the Pick A Petal stamp set.  My vision of this was a bit different but I like the outcome of it anyway.  The Very Vanilla card stock I used to make this wasn't big enough for my original idea so instead I ended up cutting out the petals and making a flower with them this way.  Which is good because I have this card which I have made and will have another card which I need to make out of one idea.  Okay enough babbling.  This card I made for a friend of mine as a thank you for joining my ribbon and embellishment assortment.  I hope she likes it.  Before I put the card into my sewing machine it was missing something so I decided to sew the Crumb Cake card stock down.  As you can see I am not a perfectionist when it comes to sewing.  I wonder what this card would look like with a straight stitch instead of a zigzag one.  Hmmmmmm

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Sets: En Francais, Pick A Petal
Paper: Marina Mist card stock, Crumb Cake card stock, Very Vanilla card stock,
Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Sewing Machine, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Perfect Petals Textured Impressions Folder, Old Olive Brights Button

Cajun Espresso Heart Card

I always struggle in giving my cards names........hahaha I usually name them the colors I have used along with the stamp set.  Sometimes it suits the card and sometimes not...like this one.  Oh well.  I have been a busy bee since we have returned home from holidays.  Here is a card that I sent to one of my stamping friends thanking her for joining my ribbon and embellishment assortment.  I hope she likes it.  I have had the idea of using the En Francais background stamp with the I {heart} Hearts stamp set.  It turned out exactly how I wanted it to...I love it when that happens.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp sets: En Francais, I {heart} Hearts
Paper: Cajun Craze card stock, Certainly Celery card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Early Espresso card stock
Ink: Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad

Playful Pieces Thank You

A couple of nights ago I was stamping with a new stamp set I got.....Playful Pieces.  You will find this stamp set in Stampin' Up!'s 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue under their hostess benefits...that is right this is a level 3 hostess stamp set.  Yeah!  I am so glad that I took the opportunity to purchase it (it was available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as a pre-order before the new Idea Book was released).  I can't say enough about this stamp set.  On page 15 of the IB&C (Idea Book & Catalogue) you will find this stamp set...look at all of the card samples they have made with this set.  I actually made my own version of the cards found there.  For the cards I made I used Stampin' Up!'s new in-colors combined with their new core colors.  This card features Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers along with Early Espress and Crumb Cake card stock.  Being  I don't have any new ribbon YET I used a Pretty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon to finish the card off.  I am quite pleased with the way this card turned out.  I must make some more of these to have on hand.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Playful Pieces (Level 3), Because I Care (Level 1)
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Whisper White card stock

Black Bear peeking

While I was watering my flowers last night I was thinking of cards to do with the left over faux wood stuff that I had.  This card popped into my head........a black bear peeking out from behind a fence.  I just have to laugh because I don't own the stamp set that has the bear image in it my good friends Heidi & Wendy do.  I always see cards made with him.  Perhaps I may just have to break down and buy it.  I am sending them this card as a thank you for being good friends.  I hope they like it and it brings a smile to their faces.
