Espresso Flower Bliss card

This SAB (Sale-A-Bration) stamp set is so much fun to play with.  I love the small flower images that you can cut out and raise with a Stampin' Dimensional.  I had a bunch of pre-cut Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta ribbon that was left over from a stamp camp and didn't have the heart to throw it away so I had the idea of using it as leaves behind my popped up Espresso Flower.  Looks not too bad - hey!?!  So don't throw away any scrap ribbon.......instead come up with a way to use it, like I did in this card.  The Sale-A-Bration Bliss stamp set is one of my favs.....with a $60.00 order you can receive it for FREE.  You can place your on-line order here or contact me to place your order.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!  You can make such cute little gifts for this special occasion.  Check out these quick & easy matchboxesfull of treats that I made for my kiddies....all I used was Stampin' Up!'s Bigz XL Matchbox die....even for the tag.  I did both of these matchboxes in a matter of minutes.  I didn't have a lot of time and went quickly to work once my youngest was having a nap.  I haven't used my Bigz XL die in a long time, I must remember to use it more often.  I sure do love my Big Shot and the different accessories that come with it.  It makes creating that much more simple.

Marbled Cupcake Card

While getting ready to stamp the other day, my daughter (5 yrs) found a container full of marbles in our stamping room and asked me what they were for.  I grabbed a Marina Mist Classic Re-Inker and showed her the rolling marbles technique.  She was amazed and couldn't believe that marbles could do that.  hehehe  This is the card that I came up with after showing my daughter the rolling marble technique.  I think this technique is perfect for cupcakes.  I used the Build-A-Cupcake punch to make this card.  Since I had some Bashful Blue and Marina Mist marbled card stock left over I made a second card so that I could have some cards on hand when I need them.  I must get in the habit of making multiples.  Another item I like to use when I make cupcake cards is the paper crimper.  I tend to use that on the cupcake bottom.

Rolling Marble Technique
Take a plastic container big enough to place a fair size piece of card stock in it.  Place a couple of drops of Classic Re-Inker inside the container.  Place some marbles inside the container.  Close the lid and shake the container back and forth.  Open the lid and place your piece of card stock inside.  Close the lid and shake the container back and forth again.  Keep doing this until you are satisfied with the marbled effect on your card stock.  Take card stock out and set aside.  Clean the marbles and container and set aside until you want to do this technique again.  This is a great technique for any stamping level.  You will never get the same marbled look twice.

Sense of Time Birthday

This is a stamp set that I has been on my wishlist FOREVER!  I am so happy I finally got it and am thinking I should have got it way sooner.  Here is a masculine birthday card that I made last night (Friday) for someone that I work with.  It was his birthday today!   This is also the card that I will be demonstrating at my February his/her cards & scrapbook club.  This is the "his" card for that club.  I was trying to get the 3-D stamped layers technique effect as that is the technique that I am demonstrating this month and I think I did just that with the top right corner.  You could also call it the "spotlighting" technique too (just without the coloring).  How did I get this effect....well I will share that with you.  I did it the same way as the "her" card for the club except I added a layer of Early Espresso card stock under my Whisper White card stock.  Firstly, I took my C clear-mount block and applied ink to one side of it by smooshing it on to a Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad.  I then placed the inked clear-mount block onto the piece of Whisper White card stock.  In order for this technique to work you will need to place something under the card stock that is soft.  I used the liner in my clear-mount case.  The technique will not work as good if you stamp the clear-mount block onto a hard surface.  Once my clear-mount block technique was done, I then placed the Whisper White card stock itoward the top right of a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I then took the "big clock" stamp, inked it with an Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad and stamped the Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock.  You will need to make sure that a part of the clock is stamped on your Whisper White card stock.  I then toook a piece of Early Espresso card stock and made a thin layer under the Whisper White card stock.  I placed Stampin' Dimensionals under the Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the Early Espresso card stock layer.  I then made sure to line up the clock pieces before adhering the Early Espresso layer onto the Crumb Cake card front.  This card was so fun to make.  You should give it a try you will have fun too.

Thanks SAB Card

While looking through my blank card stash the other day I realized I don't have much of a selection.  In other words I need to make some cards ASAP.  Here is a card that I made tonight using the In-colors Stampin' Write markers and card stock and the SAB So Happy For You stamp set.  This set has quickly become a SAB favourite.  Like I said before I really like the variety you get from this stamp set.  My plan this weekend is to make a bunch of cards so that I have some on hand when I need them.  This card is easy and fun to make so I will be sure to make some more of them.  My So Happy For You stamp set is in clear-mount form so I placed the stamps randomly on the clear-mount block then I colored them with the In-Colors Stampin' Write Marker and then stamped them on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock....so easy.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: So Happy For You (Sale-A-Bration)
Paper: Peach Parfait card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock, Very Vanilla card stock
Ink: Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker, Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker, Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Marker, Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Scallop Border punch, Red Circle Rhinestone Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crop-A-Dile
