My Son Turns 1 Scrapbook Page

I was one busy girl this week....2 scrapbook double layouts completed and a bunch of cards - yeah!  I was on my FACEBOOK page the other day and saw that I needed to send out 11 birthday cards for my family & friends whose birthdays are in the later part of July - wow!  I have most of them done but I still need to do 3 masculine birthday cards......stay posted to see those.  I always struggle with masculine birthday cards.  Hopefully my stamping mojo is working and I can find a creative idea for them.

This scrapbook page is all about celebrating my son's first birthday.  I took the layout idea from the Scrapbook Lounge's Scrapbooking Page Planners.  This one is called 8.5" x 11" color-block.  If you look closely you can see the Whisper White card stock and Bashful Blue card stock look like an 8.5" x 11" card stock piece.  This scrapbook page idea came to me after I made one similar for Stampin' Technique and Scrapbook Club.  The theme for that one was my daughter's 3 birthday.  I wanted a scrapbook page that I could use Stampin' Up!'s new builder wheels....So Many Stars, Birthday & Candle Craze.  As you can see in the right hand top corner of the right page it has the full message on the Birthday builder wheel.  I really liked the card sample in the Idea Book & Catalogue and when I saw it I wanted to demonstrate that.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp sets: So Many Stars, Birthday, Candle Craze builder wheels, Playful Pieces
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Bashful Blue card stock, Soft Suede Textured card stock, Old Olive card stock
Ink: Marina Mist Classic Stampin' Pad, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker, Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Scallope Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Alphabet Simple Numbers

Playful Pieces Thank You

A couple of nights ago I was stamping with a new stamp set I got.....Playful Pieces.  You will find this stamp set in Stampin' Up!'s 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue under their hostess benefits...that is right this is a level 3 hostess stamp set.  Yeah!  I am so glad that I took the opportunity to purchase it (it was available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as a pre-order before the new Idea Book was released).  I can't say enough about this stamp set.  On page 15 of the IB&C (Idea Book & Catalogue) you will find this stamp set...look at all of the card samples they have made with this set.  I actually made my own version of the cards found there.  For the cards I made I used Stampin' Up!'s new in-colors combined with their new core colors.  This card features Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers along with Early Espress and Crumb Cake card stock.  Being  I don't have any new ribbon YET I used a Pretty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon to finish the card off.  I am quite pleased with the way this card turned out.  I must make some more of these to have on hand.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Playful Pieces (Level 3), Because I Care (Level 1)
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers, Early Espress Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Perfect Polka-Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Pretty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

Sweet Friend Kind Friend card

Early Espresso has become quickly a fav of mine.....not only in card stock but ink as well.  I made this card as a thank you for one of my club members for their June order.  I used the Thoughtful Friend builder wheel and the Friends Never Fade stamp set.  I really like the stamp I used in the centre of the card.  That stamp is very versatile as you could leave it all one color like I did or color it different colors and raise some parts with stampin' dimensionals......so many way to use that stamp.

Dear Friend

After waiting about a week for my backordered Square Lattice textured impressions folder I had to break it in a bit.  Here is a card I made using it on Early Espresso card stock.  It give such a nice design.  I gave this card to one of my club members as a thank you for their June order.  I was busy the last couple of days getting those "thank you" cards ready.  On their (club members) cards I tried to use Stampin' Up!'s new colors.  This card has Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Tangerine Tango on it.  I know Tangerine Tango isn't a new color as it was an In-Color a year or so ago but it goes so nicely with Early Espresso.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:

Stamp sets: Thoughtful Friend builder wheel (118616), Friends Never Fade (118750 w, 120618 c pg.99)
Card stock: Whisper White (100730) Crumb Cake (120953), Early Espresso (119686)
Ink: Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad (119670), Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ Pad (111834), Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write Marker (100071)
Accessories: Stampin’ Around Jumbo Handle (103661), Builder Wheel Spindle & Spacers (119895), Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (119976), Old Olive 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon (109054)
