Smiles Mixed Bunch Card

I received a Stampin' Up! order the other day and it was full of NEW STUFF....well some new things to me and other new things from the Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Like this card was made with Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom Punch (both found on page 17 in the Occasions Mini Catalogue).  Also if you look really close to the Calypso Coral flower center you will see it glitters.  To get that effect I used Stampin' Up!'s newest Dazzling Details color....Cherry Cobbler (found on page 9 In the Occasions Mini Catalogue).  I also used added some Cherry Cobble Dazzling Details  dots along the bottome of the card just above the scalloped edge of the Whisper White card stock to give this card some extra pizzazz .  I saw an idea like this one in one of my Stampin' Up! Success Magazines.  I really liked the card and thought it would make a great project to demonstrate at my January Club "a bling thing".  The sentiment on the card comes from the Petit Pairs stamp set.  I have been eyeing this stamp set for quite sometime and finally have it!!!

Happy New Year Scrapbook Page - January Club Layout

Here is the January Club scrapbook double page layout that I am demonstrating later this month.  This month's theme is a "bling thing".  I will be teaching different ways to use the different kinds of bling that Stampin' Up has to offer.  If you look in the top left corner of the 1st page and the top right corner of the 2nd page you will see some images that sparkle.  To get these sparkly images I took the Vintage Ornaments Decor Stencil placed it in either corner and then applied VersaMark to it.  I then sprinkled Heat & Stick powder over top heated it until the Heat & Stick Powder because clear and gooey and then I sprinked Stampin' Up! Fine Galaxy Glitter over top, tapped the excess off and heat set it again.  This is one way to make glitter stay in it's place.  I love the look it gives.  To me those images look like fireworks which is perfect for my scarpbook layout theme.  I hope my Club Ladies have fun making glittery fireworks on their scrapbook pages.

Ring in the New Year with glitter and bling!

Let's start the New Year off right with some projects that feature Glitter and Bling!!  My 2012 Stampin' Technique Cards and Scrapbook Club will be starting in January.  Our theme for January's club is called a "bling thing".  I will be teaching my stamping friends aka Club Ladies different ways to use different kinds of bling.  We will be using Dazzling Diamonds Details and Cherry Cobbler Diamonds Details (found in the Occasions Mini catalogue on pg 9), Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Fine Galaxy Stamping Glitter (both found on page 201 in the Idea Book & Catalogue), Basic Pearl Jewels as well as Basic Rhinestone Jewels (found on page198 in the Idea Book & Catalogue).  They will have 1 sparkly "bling thing" technique sheet once we are fnished.  hahaha.

Here is one of the cards we will be making.  Ohhhh do you see all of the "bling things" on it... This card was lots of fun to make.  "Bling Thing" #1: was adding Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder to the VersaMark stamped Baroque Motifs image on the Cherry Cobbler card stock and heat setting it.   "Bling Thing" #2: was adding Dazzling Diamond Details (I love that stuff) to the stamped Baroque Motifs image on the butterfly.  Look how it shines.  "Bling Thing" #3: was adding the Basicw Pearls to the images on either side of the word LOVE and down the center of the butterly.  Those accessories sure do add the perfect touch.
