Valentine Defined meets Sale-A-Bration!!!!

Get a jump start on your Valentine's day cards and enjoy FREE Sale-A-Bration products.  For every $60.00 order placed you will receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration product of your choice.  Hand crafted Valentine's Day cards are a heartfelt and inexpensive way to express love and friendship just like my Valentine's Day in-color samples here.  These were quick & easy Valentine cards to make and all of the products used add up to a qualifying order for Sale-A-Bration (shipping & handling & gst are extra).  If you want to make Valentine's Day in-color cards like my samples, click here to order the below products online (I have included the item codes to make things easier for you) or contact me here with your Valentine's Day in-color order.  Don't forget you will need to decide which Sale-A-Bration FREE product you want.  You can view the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalogue here.  Please note if purchasing the wood-mount Valentine Defined stamp set your order total will be a bit more than $60.00 as this stamp set is more than the clear-mount one.

Step by Step card instrutions:
- Place a piece of Whisper White 8-1/2" x 11" card stock into your paper cutter width wise.  Cut card stock at the 4-1/4" mark.  Keep repeating this step until you have 5 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" pieces of card stock.  You will need 3 pieces of Whisper White 8-1/2" x 11" card stock to get 5 cards the size we need.  Fold each piece of 4-1/4" x 8-1/2" card stock in half.  These are your card bases.
- Next you will need to cut a layer measuring 4" x 4" for each card front.  I used each of the In-Color card stock to make these.  Once you have all 5 layers you can adhere one to each card front.
- Next you will need to cut 3 pieces of Whisper White card stock measuring 3-3/4" x 3-3/4".  You will be stamping images from the Valentine Define stamp set on here.  I chose the tree, the hearts vine and the heart flowers for my Whisper White pieces.  You can use those or create your own.
- Next you will need to make 2 piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".  For these I stamped the flamingos and Bleeding Hearts images.  I also cut 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" layers out of Peach Parfait and Concord Crush card stock.  Again you can create your cards like mine or create your own.
- Once you have stamped everything you can adhere them to the front of your cards.
- Next take the "Love" stamp and it in each corner of your card front.  I used the same color of ink for this stamp as the first layer on my card front.  I thought that would give each card a nice touch.
Voila you have finished 5 quick and easy Valentine's Day in-color cards.  Don't forget to use your "hand stamped by" stamp for the back of them.

Snow Princess Scrapbook Layout - Feb Club Project

For Christmas I got a brand new camera.....a Canon Rebel...yippeee!  Here are some pictures taken with it.  These pictures were taken last Sunday (Jan 9, 2011).  It had snowed so much on Friday, that when my Hubby went to take me to work on Saturday morning for 9:00 a.m. our van got stuck in our driveway.   So before my shift  we were shovelling our driveway.  Being half an hour late for work wasn't too bad.  On Sunday morning we went out to have some wintertime fun!  The kids loved playing in the snow.  It was too cute watching them explore our winter wonderland.

This scrapbook layout is also the layout I will be demonstrating at my February Scrapbook Club.  I hope my stamping friends like it.  There is a technique that is on these scrapbook pages....it is called 3-Dimensional Stamped Layers.  If you look at the close up photo below you will see some of the snowflake image has been raised up and the other part has not been.  You will have to join the club to find out how to do this very easy fun stamping technique.  You can register by emailing me here.  There are still a couple spots left.  The way my stamping technique & scrapbook club works is I provide all of the supplies to created the double page scrapbook layouts we will be making each month and all you need to do is place a minimum order of $25.00 in Stampin' Up! product.

Stampin' Up! products used:

Happy New Year Card

Is it too late to send out New Year's cards???  I had a Christmas card come back with a wrong address and now that I have the correct address I would still like to send out a card.  I don't think a Christmas card would be appropriate to send out so I made a New Year's card.  The red firework is taken from the Vintage I Ornament Stencils.  I used VersaMark, then heat & stick powder then Red Galaxy Glitter.  I am really happy with the results.  I hope my friend likes her "Firework" Happy New Year card.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Basic Black card stock
Ink: VersaMark Pad, Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat & Stick Powder, Heat Gun, Red Galaxy Glitter, Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Occasions Mini Catalogue Products

Here is a creation I made using Stampin' Up!'s new Build a Cupcake Punch.  You will find this punch in the Occasions Mini Catalogue on page 22.  I am a punch girl and this is a great punch!  I can tell I am going to get a lot of use out of it.  It makes such cute cupcake cards.  hehehe.  The stamped words "happy birthday" is from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.  You can also find that on page 22 in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

**Stamping Trick...You may notice that the cupcake was placed on Whisper White card stock with a Pink Block image stamped on it.  This is an amazing technique you can do with your clear-mount blocks.  All you need to do is simply apply Classic ink to your clear-mount block by either smooshing it into a Classic Stampin' Pad like you would a stamp or you can roll your brayer over top of the Classic Stampin' Pad and then roll the brayer on your clear-mount block.  I found using the clear block direct to the Classic Stampin' Pad worked better for me.  Then you just press the clear-mount block onto a piece of card stock, in this case I used Whisper White and voila you will have an image of your clear-mount block on your card stock.  This is a really fun technique.  I will be demonstrating it soon at a stamping event so keep your eyes peeled for that information.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Create a Cupcake (Occasions Mini Catalogue pg 22)
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Pink Pirouette card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Pink Pirouette Classic Stampin' Pad, Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Punch, Build-A-Cupcake Punch, C Clear-Mount Block, Stampin' Dimensionals, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Whisper White 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewels

I am an Auntie again!

Hello Stamping Friends,
I am very excited to tell you that on Christmas Eve morning at 12:45 I became an auntie again.  This is the first nephew born on my side of the family.  We were pretty excited and what a nice Christmas gift he was for my brother and sister-in-law.  My sister-in-law's due date was January 4 (the day after my bday).  It would have been nice to celebrate our birthdays together but he didn't want to wait until then.  He is such a beautiful, content baby.  Above is the name frame I made for his nursery.  His name is Mads.  It is a Danish name which is my Dad's heritage.  His middle name is Romeo after his Mom's Spanish heritage.  So I guess we could call him an internationally named baby...hehehe

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp set: Fox & Friends, Headline Alphabet (retired)
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Crumb Cake card stock, Sweat Pea Designer Series Paper (retired), Old Olive card stock
Ink: Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals,  Two-Step XL Bird Punch

I can't remember the name of the stamp set I used to stamp the words.  It is not a Stampin' Up! stamp set.  Yes I do own a couple non-SU sets.

Happy Stamping!
Michelle
