Puppy Hello

One of the ladies in my 10-4-10 club saw this cute little puppy made out of Stampin' Up! punches on SCS under Jackie Topia's gallery (jactop) and wanted to use it in our club.  So I made this card to send to her to thank her for finding this cute little puppy and to also let her know that we will be using this puppy on our double page scrapbook layout in February.  I hope she likes my card.  I like sending cards out to my club members letting them know of the things that we will be creating in upcoming club meetings.  I also sent this card to another club member.

Old Olive Vintage Friend Card

I can not put this Vintage Stamp set down.  I find myself always reaching for it.  Perhaps because it is new and perhaps because it is one of my new clear-mount stamp sets.  I find the clear-mount stamp sets very user friendly.  This is a second card I am sending out as the Bonus Weekly RAK Challenge that I did.  The first challenge was to send a RAK out to someone who has the same number in their address as you do in the temperature outside.  Well the bonus RAK was to convert that the temperature to the other version.  So the temperature outside my house on Sunday morning when I did the Weekly RAK Challenge was -13 degrees celcius, which when converted to farenheit is 9 degrees.  So now I must find an address in the RAK Members list for an address that has a 9 in it.  I love doing the Weekly RAK Challenges.  It is fun to come up with them and to send RAKs out to people.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue
Card stock: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Accessories:  Crimper, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, button from Playground Designer Button

Chocolate Chip Eyed Susans

I had some left over Close to Cocoa card stock which I had put the flower background on from the Backgrounds #1 texturz plates and I thought this stamp set Inspired by Nature would look good over top of my textured Close to Cocoa card stock.  I haven't played with this stamp set in a while.  Perhaps I should start using it more to get the rid of my winter blues.  I am ready for spring.  :)  hehehehe  I am going to send this card to a lady on the SCS RAK list who has the number 13 in her address.  That is the SCS Sunday Weekly RAK Challenge that I came up with.......send a RAK to someone who has the same numbers in their address as the temperature outside where you live.  My friend Linda (studbo) who used to do the SCS Sunday Weekly RAK Challenges had asked for some help and when I volunteered my help she then asked if I wanted to do the Sunday Weekly RAK Challenges indefinetly.  After some consideration I said yes.  You should join me every Sunday morning for a new Weekly RAK Challenge.  They are fun to do and it is always nice surprising someone you don't know with a handmade card.  To join this group you first have to be a SCS community member. Simply go to their website splitcoaststampers.com to become a community member and once you have done that then on the left hand side you will see the "Join a user group" blurb, click the "start here" link and pick the RAK Group.  I think it takes a couple of weeks for it to go through..but hang in there as the RAK Member ladies are working as fast as they can to process everyone's RAK Member status in a timely fashion.  Hope to see you in the RAK Group Forums for my Sunday Weekly RAK Challenges.  For those of you who are new to the term RAK it stands for Random Acts of Kindness.

Just for You Baroque Motifs

The other day, Sunday to be exact, I went onto SCS to check out the Weekly RAK Challenge as I am a part of the RAK Group on there.  My good friend Linda is still doing them.  I saw in her signature line that she needed some help doing them so I sent her a PM (private message) saying I was game to help out.  Well I got to do the Weekly RAK Challenge on Sunday and this is the card I made for someone with the initials G and E.  My challenge was to send a RAK card to someone who has the same letters in their name as your internet browser.  My internet browser is Google.  So I found someone with G as the first letter in her name and E as the first letter in her last name.  SCS Challenges are fun to do.  I may be doing the Weekly RAK Challenges more often.  Come check them out.  If you are not a RAK Group member sign up to be one - it is so much fun sending cards to people you don't know and making their day.

Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates for the texture.  Not too sure if you can see it in the upload but there are some flowers on it.  Also I made this into a thinking of you card when I found out that one of my friends had just lost their dog.  Big hugs to her.

Happy Birthday Card

This is one of the cards that I was eager to show you.  The stamp sets are both featured in Stampin' Up!'s new Occasion Mini Catalogue.  Vintage Vogue is found on page 26 and Well Scripted is found on page 19.  I decided to try out Stampin' Up!'s new clear-mount stamps so I purchased both of these in that stamp set type.  I was very pleased with how they work.  You get the same crisp image as the wood mount stamps as it is the same rubber used and you also get to see where you are positioning your image.  Too cool.  I was a little leery about them but I am getting used to them and like them.  This is one of the cards that we will be making at my January Club Stampin' Technique and Scrapbooking Club.  This club is full but I do have a list for a second club if you are interested.  This second club is being offered as a virtual club.  That means you don't have to tidy your house for guests and you don't have to clean up after we are finished.  Everything is done either via email or mail.  Join today!
