New Baby Animals Card

hehehe this stamp set has such versatility.....recently I have made a Father's Day card with it, a birthday card and now baby cards.  Here is one of the 5 baby boy cards I made the other day.  I like the bolder colors for baby boy cards.  The Peach Parfait is one of my favourites to use for a baby boy card.  The "New Baby" words is from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set.  That stamp set has a variety of words for every occasion.  I like the font of the stamp set too - it isn't too big and isn't too small.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp set: Animal Stories, Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock, Sahara Sand card stock
Ink: Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Tempting Turquoise Classic Stampin' Pad, Peach Parfait Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Linen Thread, Modern Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates

Hello Baby Train Card

Last night I was able to make a bunch of baby cards and boy do I need them.  I needed to make 5 baby boy cards and 1 baby girl card.  Here is one of the cards I made for the baby boys.  I had a lot of fun making this card.  If you look closely you will see that I added some texture to the card base by using my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.  The Choo-Choo stamp set and Right on Track Stampin' Around standard wheel are both on Stampin' Up!'s "Last Chance" list.  So after June 30, 2011 they will no longer be available.  When I saw this stamp set and standard wheel for the first time in the 2008-2009 Idea Book and Catalogue I knew that these were the products I was going to use to make my son's first birthday invitations.  I will have to see if I have one somewhere so that I can upload it and show it to you.  This is a great stamp set and standard wheel to make boy themed cards.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Stamp Set: Choo-Choo, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Wheel: Right on Track Stampin' Around standard wheel
Paper: Baja Breeze card stock, Basic Gray card stock, Whisper White card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock
Ink: Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pad, Poppy Parade Classic Stampin' Pad, Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad, Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Poppy Parade 1/2" Poly-Stitched Ribbon, Jumbo Brad, Itty Bitty Punch

To order the above products in this project you can order them on-line at my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website or you could contact me directly to place your order.

Happy Father's Day card

My kids did some painting the other day as I wanted them to make something for their Daddy for Father's Day.  Here is the card I made for my son who is 2 to give to his Daddy.  On the inside of the card is a picture of him and his Daddy as well as the painting he made.  I thought that would make a nice "handmade" Father's Day gift.

Stamp set: Best Dad Ever
Paper: Peach Parfait card stock, Whisper White card stock, Early Espresso Textured card stock
Ink: Peach Parfait Classic Stampin' Pad, Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Marker, Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker

An Apple For You card

Aren't Stampin' Up! punches great!  You can make so many different things with them.  Whatever the occasion using Stampin' Up! punches have a wide range of possiblities.  I needed to make a card for my daughter's kindergarten teacher and this is the card I made for you.  I got the inspiration for this card from Andrea Walford's apple card.  You can see it here.

For my card - I used my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine along with the Circles #2 Bigz Die to make 2 Real Red circles (one for the back of the apple and another one to cut in half for the front of the apple).   Then cut out a smaller circle in Very Vanilla card stock and cut it in half.  I adhered it down first over top of my full Real Red circle then I adhered the half Real Red circle beside the Very Vanilla half circle.  To make the stem and leaves of the apple I used my XL Two-Step Bird Punch.  I love this punch...you came make so many different things with it.  I punched a piece of Early Espresso Textured card stock using the long stem of the punch and I cut out Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz card stock for the 2 toned apple leaf.  For the indent in the top of the apple I used my 1-1/4" Circle Punch.  Just place it a bit into the top of the apple and punch.  For the bottom of the apple I used the same circle punch, I just punched less off of the bottom.  Now for the apple seeds....I puched out Basic Black card stock with the 4 point flower from the itty bitty punches and then cut it in half and the half again.  Adhere them on the Very Vanilla card stock where you want your seeds to be.  At the top and bottom of the card I used the alphabet stamp and numbers stamp from the First Day stamp set.  This stamp set was in last year's summer mini catalogue.  I knew when I saw that stamp set that it would come in handy for my children's school occasions.

Stampin' Up!' supplies used:
Stamp Set: First Day, Fresh Cuts
Paper: Real Red card stock, Wild Wasabi card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock, Early Espresso Textured card stock, Basic Black card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Soft Suede card stock
Ink: Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Circles #2 Bigz Die, Scallop Trim Border Punch, XL Two-Step Bird Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch

Pink Pirouette Cupcake Card

There are many things that I love about Stampin' Up! products and one of those things are that their colors go together quite nicely.  Here is a birthday card that I made for my friend Jenny using the Create a Cupcake stamp set and Build a Cupcake Punch (one of my favs).  I saw a card with a cupcake on it and the lady that made it has used the Elegenat Lines Textured Impressions Embossing folder for the top of the cupcake.  It looked really neat.  I have to give that a try.  I added some sparkle to the top of the cupcake too by using my 2-Way Glue Pen and some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  On the inside of the card I stamped my favourite birthday saying from the Create a Cupcake stamp set...."there is something fabulous about your birthday - it must be you".  I love it!  The Create a Cupcake stamp set and Build a Cupcake Punch are a couple of my favourite products to make birthday cards.  Those 2 products work so well together that it make is really easy to make birthdays right when you need them.  hehehe  I added 3 magnet butterflies as a little gift for my friend.  I hope she likes them.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:

Pizzazz Razzleberry Hydrangea

I haven't added any words to this card yet but decided to upload it anyway.  I sometimes make cards and don't stamp the words on them until the day I use them.  This card features the hostess level 1 stamp set Because I Care.  This stamp set is one of the items on Stampin' Up!'s "Last Chance" stamp set list.  If you place a qualifying order of $200.00 or more you could receive this set as your hostess stamp set.

This set was a freebie choice when we purchased our first demonstrator order last year when the 2010 & 2011 Idea Book and Catalogue came out.  Sometimes Stampin' Up! does special stuff like that for their demonstrators.  I have had lot of fun playing and demonstrating with this stamp set this year.  I especially like using the flower with shimmer paint and re-inkers.  If you look close to the picture you will see a shine to it.  I put a couple of drops of Champagne Shimmer Paint and a couple of drops of Rich Razzleberry re-inker in an empty brad container, then I mixed them both together and applied the mixture to my stamp with a sponge dauber.  The Shimmer Paint gives the image a nice shiny look.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Stamp Set: Because I Care (hostess level 1)
Paper: Pear Pizzazz card stock, Rich Razzleberry card stock, Basic Black card stock, Very Vanilla card stock
Ink: Rich Razzleberry Classic Re-Inker, Pear Pizzazz Classic Re-Inker
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Scallop Edge Corner Punch, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Whales Celebrate card

Ohh I was having fun the other night with different colored card stock and my Scallop Edge Punch...hehehe here is another card with that effect on it.  I really like it.  The scallop edges of the card stock on this card do no line up.  I wanted to see what the card would look like if I lined them up differently.  This card also uses 2 stamp sets that are found on Stampin' Up!'s "Last Chance" stamp set list.....Animal Stories and Fundamental Phrases.  I stamped the word "celebrate" on this card so that I could use it for a birthday card.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp set: Animal Stories, Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Baja Breeze card stock, Marina Mist card stock, Night of Navy card stock, Pacific Point card stock
Ink: Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad, Marina Mist Classic Stampin' Pad, Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pad, Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Pad

Citrus Hello

After making the Lemon Surprise scrapbook page of my son and commenting that the citrus image in the Tart & Tangy stamp set could be used as an orange, lemon or lime the inspiration came to make a card just like that.  Here is my "Citrus Hello" card.  This is a very easy card to make and quickly duplicate.  I love those kinds of cards.  :o)  I have seen quite often other creators putting scallop edges like the one I did on this card.  I don't think I have done that before but I really like that effect.  The stamp Tart & Tangy stamp set is lots of fun to stamp with.  If it is a set on your "wishlist" make sure you purchase it before the end of June because after that it is no longer available.  Another stamp set that I used on this card is the Fundamental Phrases card.  This is a great stamp set as it consists of words for not only occasions but every day use like the word I picked for my card.  This stamp set is also on the "Last Chance" stamp set list.  I was going over the Last Chance Accessories list the other night and saw that the HodgePodge Hardware is an item on that list.  I still have some left so I thought I would use a brad to put the finishing touch on my card.  Did you notice that this card does not have any ribbon on it?  Are you surprised?  I am....mostly all of my cards have some sort of ribbon on it.  Perhaps my use for the Styled Silver HodgePodge Hardware was enough to use as an embellishment.  My card size is 3" x 5".

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Stamp Set: Tart & Tangy, Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Soft Suede card stock, Whisper White card stock, Daffodil Delight card stock, Peach Parfait card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock
Ink: Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad, Peach Parfait Classic Stampin' Pad, Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Perfect Polka-Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, brad from the Styled Silver HodgePodge Hardware

Celebrate you Owl card

Here is a card I made using a couple of stamp sets that are on the "Last Chance" stamp set list. They are Animal Stories, Matchbox Messages and All Holidays. Each of these stamp sets are very versatile in the different cards and scrapbook pages you can make using them. I have made many baby cards using the Animal Stories stamp set. I love the words and frames found in the Matchbox Messages stamp set and the All Holidays stamp set is great for the different occasions we celebrate during the year. On the inside of the card I stamped "Happy Father's Day". I thought this would be a great card for my kids to give their Dad this Father's Day. The Father's Day stamp is used from the All Holidays stamp set which is also on the "Last Chance" stamp set list.

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Sets: Animal Stories, All Holidays, Matchbox Messages stamp set (all listed stamp sets are retiring)

My Dear Kind Wonderful Friend card

I didn't realize how many stamp sets I have on the "Last Chance" list....here is a card I made using the All Holidays(saying), Matchbox Messages (frame) and Pick a Petal stamp sets.  I just love that saying.  It is a great one to brighten someone's day.  Another fav of mind is the Pick a Petal stamp set.  It has so many different stamps in it that can make really pretty flowers.  You can also make a bunch of different kinds of flowers with the variety of stamp sets.  You can make the 5-petal flower like I did in the card above or you can make a flower resembling the Black Eyed Susan flower, with 3 petals down and a half circle on top.  These stamp sets have really been fun to demonstrate with.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Stamp sets: Pick a Petal, All Holidays, Matchbox Messages
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Melon Mambo card stock, Pink Pirouette card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Very Vanilla card stock

Marina Butterfly Great Friend Card

During the month of June you will see some cards that I have made using stamp sets from the "Last Chance" stamp set list.  Here is a card I made using the Matchbox Messages and Great Friend stamp sets.  I have really enjoyed using both of these stamp sets while they were available.  The butterfly stamp from the Great Friend stamp set was great stamp set to use with Shimmer Paint.  That was one of my fav uses for it.  The Matchbox Messages stamp set was great for the different sayings it had as well as the neat little labels that showcased the sayings.  I am planning on sending out some "last chance" cards to my stamping friends with a "last chance bonus" coupon inside.  Keep a watch on your mailbox.  Hopefully Canada Post isn't on strike and you will receive your card.  If you are not on my mailing list and could like to receive a "last chance bonus" coupon all you have to do is send me an email with your mailing address in it.  I have an "email me" link at the top right of my stamping blog or you can click here.

After June 30, 2011 I won't be able to demonstrate with them again as Stampin' Up! demonstrators are only able to demonstrate with current products.  Also after June 30, 2011 these stamp sets will no longer be available for purchase from the Idea Book & Catalogue as a new Idea Book & Catalogue comes out on July 1.  Yeah!  I have seen some sneak peaks and am very impressed with the new fresh products that will be available.

Best Dad Ever Frame - June 12 Project

OH this project was a lot of fun to make, notice the shiny part on this project......it is aluminum flashing which was embossed with Stampin' Up!'s Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - isn't that cool.  This is the last project that will be featured at my June 12 "I am a Big Shot" Class.  I have seen a couple of projects that used aluminum flashing and they looked so neat.  Yet another way to use the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and depending on which embossing folder you use you could have more ways to create masculine cards and projects.  I made this project a Father's Day frame but if you would rather use it for a different occasion you can do that.  The picture is 4" x 6".
Here are the details again for my "I am a Big Shot" Class - On June 12, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:30 come join me for a Big Shot class. We will be making 6 different projects all using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. If you click on the label "I am a Big Shot" Class you will see all of the different projects we will be making.  Cost is FREE if you have purchased a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine from me or FREE if you purchase one at the time of the class or $5.00 if you do not own one. Greenhouse Gala Chipboard Coasters - June 12 Projects

Another project to be featured at my June 12 "I am a Big Shot" Class.  These are 2 coasters made out of chipboard and the Scallop Square Clear Die.  At the class we will spray a protective coat on them so that they don't get ruined when being used.  If you would rather make these 2 scallop squares into a cute little frame you could do that too.  All we need to do for that is punch a couple holes with the Crop-A-Dile in 2 sides and then join them with ribbon.  That would make such a cute little gift for someone.

On June 12, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:30 come join me for a Big Shot class. We will be making 6 different projects all using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. Cost is FREE if you have purchased a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine from me or FREE if you purchase one at the time of the class or $5.00 if you do not own one. Click here to register by email.
