With the New Year comes birthdays.....

I have many friends that will be celebrating their birthdays in January so I thought I should get a head start on making some birthday cards.  Here is a birthday card that I made the other night.  I got the card layout/design from a Stampin' Success Magazine (exclusive to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators).  I didn't CASE it totally, I did make some tweaks and changes to it.  I just may have to use this card layout/design more often I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I like the different way you can use Stampin' Up! products and how they all compliment each other.  I also like the Whisper White end at the bottom of the card.  Keep a watch for different ways I will be using this card layout.  Also please give the card layout/design a try at home, it is super easy to make.

Stampin' Up! supplies:
Stamp Set: Create a Cupcake (Happy Birthday words)
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Pool Party card stock, Whisper Whte card stock, Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks
Ink: Basic Grey Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Perfect Polka-Dots Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Linen Thread, 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border, Basic Pearls, Island Floral Biz Die, Stampin' Dimensionals

Card Dimensions
Crumb Cake card stock cut 8-1/4" x 11" and folded in half.  This is your card base
Pool Party card stock cut 2-1/2" x 4"
Whisper White card stock cut 2" x 2", then take the Photo Corner punch or Square punch, line up one side and punch out to make the angled end.
Whisper White card stock cut 2-1/2" x 3/4", for Scallop Trim Border.

Happy Stamping!

Happy New Year!

Last night I was making some New Year's Eve note cards for someone.  This is what I came up with.  Thought I would post it to my stamping blog as my last post and project upload for 2012. Hard to believe 2013 is just around the corner.

The stamping technique I used in both is Embossing.  The numbers are embossed in the above picture and the numbers and champagne glasses are embossed in the picture below.  If you look at the numbers really closely you will see that they have two-tones.  This is has got to be one of my fav techniques.  I love embossing and by adding another color this is what you get....Two-Toned Embossing.   :)

Stampin' Up! Supplies used:
Stamp Set: Embellished Events, Short Order Numbers (retired)
Paper:  Whisper White card stock, Basic Black card stock
Ink: Going Grey Stampin' Write Marker (retired), Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker, VersaMark Pad
Accessories:  Gold Embossing Powder, Black Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals

Gingerbread Season's Greeting card - October 21 Stamp Camp

Here is the second card that will be featured at my October 21 Christmas card Stamp Camp.  I am loving the Scentsational Seasons stamp set, found on page 16 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  You may notice that the gingerbread men are a bit glossy that is because they have been embossed with the Sugar and Spice scented Embossing Powder (also found on page 16).  The smell is amazing!  It makes me want to bake some gingerbread.  hehehe

Please join me on October 21 for some Christmas stamping fun.  There are still some spots available.

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Stamp sets: Scentsational Season, Greetings of the Season
Paper: Crumb Cake card stock, Whisper White card stock, Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (Real Red)
Ink: Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, VersaMark Pen
Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Holiday Collections Framelit Dies, Scallop Edge Punch, Itty Bitty Buttons, Linen Thread, Sugar and Spice Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

October 21 Christmas Stamp Camp

My October Christmas card stamp camp has been moved!  It is now scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  We had a recent family vacation to Mexico and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things.  There is still room if you would like to come and stamp to get a head start on your Christmas cards.  Above is one of the card designs we will be making.  The Christmas tree stamp is from the Scentsational Seasons stamp set found on page 16 of the Holiday Mini.  The Christmas tree is also cut out using the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies.  Too cute!

At each class, you will make 12 Christmas cards (4 each of 3 different designs) with matching envelopes. So, by December’s Christmas card stamp camp you will have made 48 Christmas cards! At each stamp camp there will be a draw for a “stamping surprise”. Attend all 4 Christmas card stamp camps and your name will be put into a draw on the last class for a great prize. You can RSVP here.

The Christmas cards that we will be making at each stamp camp will be uploaded on my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator website (the link is located in the left sidebar) as well as posted on this Stamping Blog ahead of time so that you will be able to see what we will be making.

Cost: $25.00 for non-club members
            $22.00 for club members

Class Dates: September 16, October 21, November 18 & December 9
Where: My house (address will be given out upon registeration)

Time: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

P.S.  If you are feeling extra ambitious and creative at my Christmas Card stamp camps I will have extra occasion cards available to make each one.  These occasion cards will be an extra $2.00.  This is only if you are interested.  Below are the different occasion cards that will be available at each Christmas stamp camp.
